It was Homecoming in
Pentwater this past weekend and for us that means family time! We stayed with our Aunt Cindy and Uncle Brad and their two teenage girls Kelsey and Taylor and their friend Aubrey. The kids did great and had a lot of fun. Owen does not like to stay in new places as you may remember from our Ann Arbor trip. However, we were able to
separate the kids so that was REALLY NICE!! Friday afternoon we went to the beach and came back to the cottage for naps. Owen didn't want to go down so he cried for almost an hour before he went to bed. I think that was the trick because at bedtime that night....no fussing! Kennedy woke up at least twice an hour until about 3am so I didn't feel well rested on Saturday but I can't complain. They both had a great time at the parade Saturday afternoon despite the very HOT temps. Owen was so red and hot that he didn't know what to do with himself. We got ice cream thinking that would cool them down a bit but Owen just threw it down and was not that interested...that was a first! We had a family get together that night and then we headed to fireworks. We were supposed to head home that night but decided to stay another night since the kids did so well. The kids LOVED the fireworks and we were so happy we stayed. Sunday Owen woke up at 6 after going to bed around 11. We said our good-byes to
everyone and headed home Sunday afternoon. Thanks so much Aunt Cindy and Uncle Brad for hosting us! Also, a big thank you to Kelsey, Taylor and Aubrey for entertaining and playing with kids!!!! You were a HUGE help.
Of course I forgot my camera but thankfully uncle Karl and Taylor posted some pics to
FB so here they are.

Owen and Kennedy LOVED the jeep. Sorry..this is not the greatest picture.
Monday night we decided to take the kids to the fountains downtown Holland. Owen and Kennedy had a great time. Kennedy was very unsure at first but Owen jumped right in. He was so excited at one point that he came running over to us and tripped and now has a huge egg on his head :(

You can see there
personalities a little in the next few pics. Owen no time to sit still....just running......

Those are awesome pics! It makes me want a new camera. I love Kennedy's suit.
Sounds like you had a fun little get away (less stressful than the Ann Arbor getaway for sure!) We should have a small group meeting at the fountains. That would be awesome with all those kids running around!
These are so cute! I've heard about these fountains. It looks like we need to go!
The fountains are fun aren' they.
LOVE the shots highlighting their personalities!
