Look what we can do

We can feed ourselves while mom is cleaning up dinner

we can feed eachother

we can ask daddy to swaddle us like our baby dolls

We can play dress up with moms shirts while helping mommy fold laundry

After we successfully emptied the laundry basket (on the floor) we played ring around the rosies

we can look cute even with mustard on our faces

we can make it difficult to get a good picture of together

even after we bribe daddy to let us eat on the couch with mustard on our pretzels!

ha! good thing mommy isn't home to see this! This would be her reaction if she caught us.

Butterflies and haircuts

On Friday we took the kids to see the butterflies at Frederik Meijer Gardens. I honestly didn't know how they would do since Kennedy is afraid of anything that flies near her. It was really cold out so we didn't spend a ton of time at the other "attractions" but we did enjoy the butterflies.

carrying logs out of the Beaver den....Kennedy wanted to take one home with her.

today we went to my parents for dinner and afterwards we walked to the ice cream shop where they treated us to ice cream. It was so yummy and a perfect day for it!

Owen, Jeremiah and I all got haircuts from Grandma today. With enough jelly beans Owen did alright. Since his shirt was covered in hair I put on his coat without his shirt on..he loves the coat (Thanks Finn....Beth!) I just thought he looked so grown up I had to post the pic.

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter! We started out the day going to my parents church (the church I grew up in) so it was great to see everyone again. From there we went to my parents for Easter dinner with my Grandma and Aunt, Uncle and cousin Amy. After no success with the kids napping there we left to take a drive to see if they would fall asleep. Owen fell asleep just as we were getting off the exit on the highway to get home.....so we kept driving. We took a nice drive out to the beach and we saw a kite boarder so we of course needed to watch (Jeremiah is trying to get back into kite boarding this year). From there we went to Jeremiah's parents for supper with his grandma.

Since it was raining on Saturday the "Easter Bunny" came early to bring Owen and Kennedy their rain boots and umbrellas. They loved them:)

Sunday Morning we got up super early to make it to my parents church so the kids opened their Easter baskets in about a minute:)

At my parents they enjoyed goofing around a bit

My Aunt Sharon spoiled the kids as usual and hid Easter eggs with all sorts of goodies in them. Owen, Kennedy and Amy had so much fun looking for the eggs.

Of course I didn't get any good pictures of anyone else....including Grandparents...once again! I need to get better at that!

Great grandma helping blow bubbles

Owen checking out the bird book with Grandpa. It played each birds song...it was really cool.

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

What we have been up to

Well, the sick buggies are gone and we are enjoying the beautiful weather. Two weeks ago we were all sick. Owen and Kennedy both had bad coughs and Owen had his first ear infection! We had a few very tough nights but we are feeling GREAT again! I can't believe the kiddos are almost 28 months old. They make me laugh everyday and most days make me want to pull my hair out too. Anytime I say, no don't do that you will...break it, spill it....etc....Kennedy will say in this little voice with her head tilted...that's okay momma, its okay like she is consoling me. Owen loves to close doors. Every time he closes a door he says by bye, I love you:) Those are just a few of my favorite things right now:) Kennedy just went through a huge growth spurt she is as tall if not taller than Owen. The length on 3T pants is just a little to long and she doesn't fit into nearly all of her shoes!

The other night we went on a walk and there was a little hill they wanted to run down. Jeremiah and I were laughing so hard because they couldn't run without falling and they just kept falling and falling. They thought it was so funny. After the hill we let them "drive" this ugly machine thing that has been sitting down the road for a year. Kennedy loved driving the "hi lo" and Owen was to afraid to get in it. Finally after a few minutes of Kennedy having lots of fun he was daring enough to try it.

The kids have been talking about the Easter Bunny a lot lately. It is not something we "teach" them or really talk about. Every time we go to Target they need to pet the bunnies on the door and they love pointing out the bunnies in the books we read. They were both very excited to see the Easter Bunny but once we got there Kennedy wanted nothing to do with him and Owen didn't want to leave. As you can see Kennedy wouldn't even let me hold her near the Easter Bunny.

Owen wanted to go back and see him again. Kennedy waved and said "bunny is funny" from a distance. Afterward we made our way down the mall to the play place....(I figured we are still on antibiotics why not, ha!)

On the way home we stopped and got ice cream

I asked if they could stand together so I could get a nice picture....this is what I got:)
