We FINALLY got to meet the newest family member this past weekend. Jeremiah's sister Sonya (she is my SISTER too ;) ) had her baby on June 29th. Lucille Jean Legere we call her Lucy and she is absolutely perfect. I/we are so excited to have a niece!
We left Wednesday around 7:30 PM and arrived Thursday morning around 8:30. We met Lucy, cuddled with her for a bit went to breakfast and a mall for the kids to run around and then tried to crash for a few hours. It was a lazy and fun day. We headed over to Marc's parents house to stay....his parents are so incredibly kind for allowing us to stay at their house with two rambunctious 3 year olds!!! Marc arrived home from NYC and we just had a great time catching up.
On Friday we just took it easy in the morning, loving on Lucy and the kids "helped" uncle Marc make pancakes. Later that afternoon we headed out to Dutch Wonderland, it is an amusement park for kids. Owen and Kennedy had a blast. It seemed like Lucy did too because she slept really well the whole time.
On Saturday we hung out for a bit, ate some good Philly pizza and Cheese steaks and packed up to head home. We left around 3 in the afternoon and got home about 4 in the morning Sunday morning. The kids did great in the car. We borrowed DVD players from friends at church and I bought some dollar store things and gave them "gifts" every couple hours or so.
All in all it was a GREAT trip, we were so excited to meet Lucy and spend time with Marc and Sonya. It is hard being so far away but we just need to be sure we visit as often as possible.
