Beach Day with Friends

We met up with the Flofam and the Leeuws for a beach day. We all had a great time. I am not usually a big fan on the beach but it was wonderful. We got there at about 9:30 before it was busy..perfect! The kids are at the age now where they stay occupied just playing in the sand and shallow water.

A little later Kristin's sister Kim and her family (Vander Griend's) met up with us. It was so great to see them and hang out Everyone else had to take off for lunch and naps but we decided to stay a little while longer. A little while turned into about 4 hours and although we reapplied sun screen several times it certainly was not enough! Jeremiah looks like a Lobster!!

Two great things you would never think about bringing to the beach made our afternoon wonderful! a snow sled for carrying everything and a air mattress! We seriously spent the afternoon playing on the air mattress. The kids LOVED it and jumped off no less than 50 times. Jeremiah and I enjoyed lounging on it too:)
